Each Preschool Initiative (PI) member state field tested four high quality assessments and/or instructional materials of its choice that contained evidence-based and promising practices. The purposes of the field test activity were to: assist states with resource selection; provide implementation data; and, further the PI’s goals of building state capacity and knowledge related to serving the pre-kindergarten (PK) migrant student population more effectively.
PI has created three rubrics that provide information on curricula and learning materials for year-long preschool (pre-k) programs, summer pre-k and jumpstart to kindergarten programs, and parent training / home instruction.
The educational resources listed below were submitted by PI member states. The rubrics are living documents; additional resources will continue to be added.
